BRASS BANDS CONTROL.
.AMALGAMATION PROPOSAL. AGREEMENT IN THE SOUTH. ) The South Island Bands Association, fhe delegate! of which mot in Christchurch recently, decided to merge with the North Island Association, with the object of huving one controlling body. The following resolution was carried:— '.'iV' That upon the establishment of the proposed new controlling body to govern band activities in both islands, this association Agrees to transfer its assets and •liabilities to such new body, and hereby authorises its executive to carry this into effect."
The annual meeting of the North Island Association will be held in Wellington on March 28, and delegates were appointed to attend it with the object of assisting £hti formation of the new body.
