MEN ON RELIEF WORKS.
EXPERIENCE OF COUNCIL;.
A few men who have donu work for the Heathcoto County Council, Christchurch, under the No. 5 unemployment scheme have failed to collect the money duo to them. The lack of signatures on the paysheets of these men is preventing the council from forwarding the sheets to the. Government for the amounts due. Last week- some of the men did not apply for money earned the week before, and in some cases the county officials, in order to have the paysheets signed, had to trace the men to their private addresses.
