END OF THE ORVIETO.
PURCHASE BY SHIPBREAKERS.
GOOD SERVICE IN THE WAR. SYDNEY, March 10. Advice has been received that the Orient Royal Mail liner Orvieto, 12,133 tons, has •been sold to shipbreakers. The vessel was withdrawn from the Australian trade last year, after nearly 22 years of service.
The Orvieto will be remembered mainly for her famous war career, which commenced with the departure of the first contingent of Australian and New Zealand troops for the seat of war.
