DAMAGES FOR INJURIES.
SEQUEL TO COLLISION
MOTOR-CYCLIST AWARDED £BO6. [BY telegraph.—press association.] CHRISTCBURCH, Tuesday. A jury in the Supreme Court to-day, in which Mr. Justice Kennedy presided, awarded £BO6 16s 6d damages in an action arising out of a motor collision. The parties were James Cundy Murray Lee, plaintiff, and Wright, Stephenson and Company, and Frederick Otto Schmidt, a salesman, then employed by Wright, Stephenson and Company, defendants.
Lee was riding a motor-cycle when he was struck by a car driven by Schmidt. The Judge held that the defendants were jointly and severally liable.
