SUMMER SHOW RECEIPTS.
GATE-TAKINGS MUCH LOWER.
DECREASE OF £557 SHOWN.
Gate receipts at tho Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association's summer show this year showed a decrease of £557, compared with tho figures last year, when the show extended for three days instead of two. The receipts for the two days this year were £468, while last year tho takings aggregated £1025. The association had anticipated a decrease of approximately £3OO, but it had been considered that the increased charge for admission, which was 2s as against Is last year, would militate against a greater decrease. The first day's gate receipts were £77, while £391 was taken on Saturday.
