HAMILTON.
A very enjoyable evening was spent at the home of Mrs. W. H. Humo on Friday evening, when Miss Ernestine Hume was given ;i surprise party by a number of her friends. The evening was spent in dancing and games. Mrs. Hume received the young people wearing a frock of black figured chenille and Miss Hume wore a frock of figured taffeta. Among those present were: —Miss Erena Ward, who wore black lace; Miss Patty English, floral georgette; Miss Noreen Sergei, leaf green ninon; Miss Lilian Valder, flowered ninon; Miss Ailsa Wilson, delphinium blue crepe de chine; Miss Mary Gillies, floral crepe de chine; Miss Mabel Innes, peach floral georgette; Miss Margaret Clayton-Greene, rose' floral voile; Miss Doris Pratt, blue tulle; Miss Miriam Richards, pink crepe moire; Miss Betty Taylor, parchment lace; Miss Joyce Pratt, coffeo lace; Miss Muriel Prosser (Auckland), lime green georgette; Miss Alison Bell, green floral voile; Miss Freena Clayton-Greene, moss georgette.
