ANTIQUE WINS THE CUP.

FLYING TO BILLIKINS. BEST DIVIDEND OF DAY. Tho annual raco meeting of the Thames Jockey Club was opened successfully on the Pnrawai racecourse yesterday. The tra'-k was fast and interesting racing was witnessed. 1 Antique won the Goldfields Cup in decisive stylo and Billikina, nn outsider, was successful in the Flying Handicap, paying the largest dividend of the day. Leasehold was the only favourite to win but with tho exception of Ruling Chief the other winners all carried substantial support and their prices were not large. Searcher paid a double-figures dividend for second in the first race, and Crimestor's second dividend later in the day .was also substantial.

The attendance was very fair. The totalisator handled £12,562 10s, compared witb £16,295 10s on the first day last year, a decrease of £3734. Results
