MUSICAL RECORDS.
Tito Schipa has recorded two Neapolitan folk songs, " Mandulinata A Napule " Serenata, and " 'A Canzone D'e Stelle," which are in the His Master's Voice list for January. Schipa always succeeds in creating an atmosphere of musical sin* cerity. These lovely songs, so charmingly rendered in tho Neapolitan dialect are typical of him. Richard Crooks the American tenor sings tho " Preislied " from " Pie Meistersinger," and " In Fernern Land from "Lohengrin," is a record which he recently made for His Master's Voice. These "two arias are finely sung by this artist. His powerful yet sympathetic voice soars above the rich orchestral ac companiment, and he does full justice to the difficult Wagnerian music. The recording is excellent. A good collection of " Plantation Melodies " is played by Herman Finck and his orchestra in a recent Columbia record. Here is a splendid reminder of tho old-time, minstrel shows. _ All the favourite airs are represented, including "Oh! dem Golden Slippers," "Marching Through Georgia,"_ " The Old Folks at Home," " I's Gwinc Back to Dixie " Poor Old Joe," '/ Mv Old Kentucky Home," " Massa's in de Cold Ground M and " Camptown Races.
