SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE.
COST EXCEEDS ESTIMATE. ALREADY OVER £6,p00.000. The report of the Auditor-General of New South Wales, Mr.- John Spence, on the general accounts of Ministerial departments, contains interesting figures relating to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The estimated cost of tho bridge set down in the enabling Act is £5,750,000, including land resumptions of £400,000. According to the figures published by Mr. Spence the cost to .Tune 30 last was £6.463,943, of which £1,212,360 was for land resumptions.
