SUITS AND ENSEMBLES. BRIGHT COLOURS WORN. It was unfortunate that tho fine weather which has attended the previous days of the Auckland Racing Club's Summer Meoting, did not continue yesterday. The enervating heat and occasional showers made tlio choice of suitable clothes somewhat of a problem to racegoers. A large number compromised 011 cool chiffon, georgette and crepe do chine frocks worn under a light summer coat, while others reverted to costumes and ensemble suits in light-weiglit materials. Gay colours wcro favoured, however, tho shades of red and ceriso in crepe do chino frocks and in many of tho hats helping considerably to brighten the scene on the lawn. Black was again a popular choico and sheer white was also a colour which had many adherents, tho lattor looking both cool and attractive.
