LONDON NAVAL TREATY.
oGESTURE BY MR. HOOVER. NEW YEAR'S PROCLAMATION. (Received January I, 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Deo. 31. As a gesture of goodwill cn New Year's Day the Pfesident, Mr. Hoover, will issue a proclamation to-morrow putting into effect tho London Naval Treaty. FREE STATE RATIFICATION. INSTRUMENT DEPOSITED. (Received January 1, 10.15 p.m.) British Wireless. RUGBY, Dec. 31. The King's instrument of ratification in respect of the Irish Free State of the London Naval Treaty, was deposited today at the Foreign Office by the High Commissioner for the Irish Free State in London, and the treaty is therefore now in force.
