MOTORING ACCIDENTS.

CAR FALLS INTO RIVER BED. THREE PASSENGERS INJURED. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OTO CORRESPONDENT.] TAIHAPE, Wednesday. Three people received injuries necessitating their admission to the Taihape Hospital when a molor-car containing nine occupants fell over a bank at Mowhango, near Taihape, last evening. The injured are:—Mr. Teota Hawira, sprained wrist and abrasions; Mrs. Amelia Hawira, lacerations to the face and injury to the right leg; Mr. Jack Davis, dislocated ankle and abrasions. Messrs. Hawira and Davis were members of a shearing gang, who were motoring to the Mowhango River for a swim. The car got out of control and plunged over the bank, eventually coming to rest besido the river. Minor injuries were received by the other members of the party. YOUTH DIES IN HOSPITAL. j SEQUEL TO COLLISION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] TIMARU, Thursday. As a sequel to a motor collision yesterday Norman Herbert Carr, aged 17, a visitor from Christchurch, died in the Timaru Hospital this morning. The accident occurred at a dangerous intersection. OYOLIST GRAVELY INJURED. COLLISION WITH MOTOR-CAR. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] OAMARU, Thursday. A motor-cycle and a motor-car collided near Cormack's railway crossing five miles from Oamaru, to-night. The cyclist, Mr. David Iliggerson, aged 25, tingle, received serious injuries, which necessitated the amputation of one leg. His condition is grave. TWO MOTOR-OARS COLLIDE. DRIVER'S SEVERE HEAD INJURY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAURANGA, Thursday A serious motor accident occurred six miles from Turangi, on the National Park road, about mid-day yesterday. Mr. R. Bergerson, of Taihape, was driving a car when the vehicle met in collision with a car driven by Mr. A. Hill, of Auckland. Mr. Bergerson was taken to the. Raetihi Hospital, suffering from severe head injuries and shock. Mr. Hill escaped with minor abrasions. Both cars were extensively damaged.
