RESCUE FROM DROWNING.
SCHOOLGIRL'S PLUCKY ACT.

A prompt rescue from drowning was effected in a creek at Te Hoe, 15 miles from Huntly, yesterday, when a party of schoolgirls were bathing. One small girl got out of her depth and was in difficulties when her plight was noticed by Mavis Thompson, who svram to her aid and rescued her just in time. -The smaller girl was unable to swim and but for the promptness of her rescuer must have lost her life.
