NEW ZEALANDERS AT HOME
[nv TELEGRAPH.—OWN" CORRESPONDENT.] LONDOX. Xov. 20. Mr. H. Anthony Mealand (Auckland), is in England to take a post-graduate course in town and at the same time he. hopes to sho\v Mrs. -Mealand the many beauties of the Old Land. Mr. C. B. Worsley (Auckland) has gone to San Remo where he thinks of spending the coming six months. Mr. F. R. Chisholm (Auckland), will bo in London for some fifteen months, taking medical post-graduate work. At a meeting of the King's, Roll National Council at the House of Commons:, yesterday, it was announced that the Minister of Labour, at the desire of the Council, had appointed Earl Jeliicoe President of the Council. Lord Jeliicoe had been chairman, but he tendered his lesignation on account of deafness which made it difficult to carry out the work of that office. Lord Allenby has been appointed to the chair. It was mentioned i; that the number of employers on the King's Roll is approximately 26,300, and that they employ about 372.500 disabled ex-service men. Latest figures available show that there are 35,571 disabled exservice men registered at the exchanges as being in need of employment.
