FASHIONS AT THE RACES.

TROJTING CLUB MEETING. A DAY OF SUNSHINE. The brilliantly fino and warm weather which greeted the opening day of the Auckland Trotting Club's summer meoting at Alexandra Park on Saturday afforded racegoers the long-awaited opportunity of wearing the dainty chiffons and georgettes which are so attractive and becoming. Many delightful frocks were to be seen on Saturday in every conceivable shade and design, the floral frocks with coatees or shoulder capes being first in popularity. The wide-brimmed light' straw hats, cool and shady, and in many cases in their natural shade, proved an attractive and suitablo finish for the draped frocks, while the many parasols which were to bo seen added with their gay colours and novel designs, to tho brilliant sceno presented on the lawn.
