SUCCESSFUL AT HOME.
Miss, Daphne Knight held an At Home with pupils and parents at her studio, Khyber Fass Road, on Wednesday evening. The studio was decorated- with a remarkable display of Iceland poppies, and the hall was filled with parents and friends, who spent a most enjoyable evening. A well-arranged programme consisted of Grecian, tap, operatic and Rumanian dances, interspersed with Shakesperean items and humorous selections. '
A wealth of picturesque costumes were displayed in the various ballets. I'ie Grecian maidens presented a very charming appearance in billowy pink ninon. The Rumanian dancers in scarlet and white were a revelation in colour and graceful movement, and a clever acrobatic dance delighted the audience. The names'' of the pupils who contributed to a very artistic programme wore:— Ngaire Dennis, Shirley 'Thomson, E. Sullivan, 0. Martin, G. Dennis, P. Barrett,, G. Marshall, J. Cooper, B. Townsend, J. Nattrass, E. Gearey, B. Dennis, A. and E. Graham, S. and M. Martin. M. Delaney and D. O'Brien.
A delectable supper was provided at the conclusion of the entertainment for the children, and Mrs. Brassev played selections of dance music during the evening.
