BOXING.
KING'S SCHOOL EVENTS. The annual boxing contests- of King's School were held yesterday afternoon. There was a fair attendance of parents and friends. Several close bouts were witnessed, particularly in the cruiser-weight semi-final between Abbott i. and Wade, and tho school championship final between Corbin and McGruther. The winners of the light and bantam-weights both showed considerable promise. Captain Potter was judge. Results were as follows: Heavy-weight School Championship.— Semi-finals: Corbin beat Lowe; McGruther heat Uren. Final: Corbin beat McGruther. Light-heavy-weight.—Final: Corbin beat McGruther. Cruiser-weight.—Semi-finals; Wade beat Abbott i.; Bischof! beat Simich. Final: Wade beat Bischoff. _ Light-weight.—Semi-finals: Thorne beat Lamer; Garland beat Abbott ii. Final: Garland beat Thorne. Bantam-weight.—Semi-finals: Wilson i. beat King i.; Singer beat Wilson ii. Final: Singer beat Wilson i.
