BUTTER-FAT COMPETITION.
WAIROA DISTRICT SHOWS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] DARGAVILLE, Frith/. The butter-fat competition in flection with the Northern Wairoa . mid Upper Wairoa Agricultural and Pastoral Association Shows for tlio 1930-31 season drew the smallest entries since its inception several years ago. Mr. W, Kay (Hoangu), with Crammy, won both competitions, which carry substantial cash prizes, as well as cups. Her figures were;— For 24 hours, 2.79781b. of fat; 30 days, 83,9341b. of fat. The same exhibitor's Ivy, with 2.47441b. of fat for 24 hours and 74.2321b. for 30 clays, was second in the Northern Wairoa competition, and Mr. G. S. Morrison's Silver Mahone, with 2.66941b, of fat for 24 hours, and 80.0821b. for 30 days, was second. In the Upper Wairoa competition the figures in both competitions were a little better than last year. The animals which won last year were well down the list this year. t
