PETROL IN AUSTRALIA.
EXPERTS COMPLETE SURVEY. ARRIVAL IN NEW ZEALAND. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON, Monday. Three expert petroleum geologists attached to the staff of the Vacuum Oil Company arrived at Wellington by the Maunganui from Sydney to-day. They are Dr. E. Jablonski, leading technical .geologist, Mr. C. J: Bremner, of California, and Mr. N. Osborne, an Australian. In the past 12 months, on behalf of tho company, they have made a geological reconnaissance of practically the whole of Australia, and are now on their way back to the United States. They intend, however, to stay for a month in New Zealand. , ' Dr. Jablonski, who originally came from Poland, said ho would not speak of the oil prospects in Australia, tho determination of which was one of the purposes of the recently completed reconnaissance. Their report would be made to their company and they had no opinions to offer.
