MANY TOPICAL FEATURES

Another remarkably fine issue of the Auckland Weekly News is published to-day and tho excellence of tho large illustrated section is sure to command wide attention and admiration. All the important happenings of the week throughout the Dominion arc admirably recorded in a most picturesque and interesting style, while there are also several splendid pictorial features which illustrate phases of New Zealand life in a manner that will appeal to all. "Gathering the Golden Fleece in New Zealand," is the titlo of a striking and picturesque single picture which is reproduced on the centre double-page. It depicts mustering operations on a beautiful North Island Fast Coast sheep station.

Carnival week in Christchurch is comprehensively illustrated in the issue. The frontispiece shows scenes at the Metropolitan Show of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association, which was attended by tho fiovernor-General and Lady Bledislon. On other pages aro depicted incidents of tho New Zealand Trotting Cup Meeting at Addington and of the Canterbury Jockey Club's carnival at Riccarton.

Photographs secured at Auckland's new railway station last Sunday, when it came, into regular use for the first time, arc reproduced on a full page. An excellent aerial photograph of the new building, platforms and yards, showing their situation in relation to tho city, is most interesting. It is reproduced on a large scale on another page. The terrible disaster to the giant British airship 8101 is illustrated extensively. Photographs arc reproduced of the crew, the wrecked dirigible and tho impressive funeral of the 43 victims from Rcauvais, in France, to Westminster Hall, London.

Another very interesting full-page, shows unique pictures secured during a voyage in a sailing ship from Australia lo Iroland. A now gold seeking venture nenr a famous field of tho early days on the west, coast of the. South Island provides an arresting series, while scenes on a North Auckland farm successfully worked by two young girls are sure to be examined with interest.

An exceptionally varied collection of miscellaneous, topical and scenic photographs completes this excellent issue of tho world famous journal.
