The value of instruction on sex and motherhood was referred to by Sir Truby King in his address at the annual Dominion conference of the Plunket Society, wliich was opened to-day by tl\p Minister of Health, TI on. A. J. Stalhvorthy. Sir Truby spoke in high terms of appreciation of (ho work of the members of the society, and sketched the initiation and progress of the organisation. Alluding to the saving of the lives of prematurely-born infants, Sir Truby King
said that many celebrated men had been prematurely born. The world would have lost much if such lives had not been saved. Ho emphasised the importance of ante natal care, and urged the value of sex and motherhood instruction in the case of young women. The best, persons to give such instruction, lie said, were probably Mich women as had a wide Karitane experience.
