SCHOOL VACATIONS.
THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS.
Schools and colleges in Auckland will close for (ho Christmas vacation next month, and will resume in February. Following are the breaking-up and reopening dates: —
Primary, junior high and district high schools, December 19 to February 2; Grammar schools, December 19 to February 3; King's College, December 17 to February 9; King's School, December 15 to February 10; Scddon Memorial Technical College, December 10 to February 3. Auckland Training CollcgeJ December 5 to February 19.
St. Cufhbert's College, December 16 to February 4; Queen Victoria College for Maori Girls, December 13 to February 13; Sacred Heart College, December 16 (tentative) to February 3; Diocesan High School, December 16 (tentative) to early in February. St. Stephen's School for Maori Boys will break up on December 4 and it is hoped to commence at the newschool at Bombay about tho middle of February.
Tho dales for tho annual prize-givings at most of the schools have not been decided.
