PROTEST AT ASHBURTON.
NEW MOTOR REGULATIONS
[BY TELEQRAPH. —FRESS ASSOCIATION.] ASHBURTON, Tuesday.
Tho Ashburton Borough Council last evening resolved to protest against tho proposed amendments to tho motor vehicle regulations in connection with tho licensing of drivers. It was stated that tho new regulations were enmbersomo and unnecessary and that they entailed a go<xl deal of additional expense. The view was expressed that the present regulations were satisfactory.
