ABRA.H AM—ROBERTS. Tho marriage of Miss Daphne Beryl Roberts, third daughter of Mr. and Sirs. Joseph Roberts, of Brett Avenue, Takapuna, to Mr. John Abraham, third son of Mr. and, Mrs. W. G. Abraham, Lichfield Road, Parnell, was celebrated at St. Mary's Cathedral, Parnell, recently./' Tho Ilev. Canon Fancourt performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of desert tan crepe de chine, with a hat to tone, She carried a sheaf of golden shades of Iceland poppies and maidenhair fern. Mrs. F. Gurney, of Buckland, attended as matron of honour, wearing a frock of blue crepe do chine relieved with fawn and a hat to tone. Her bouquet was of pink and mauve stock and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. Fred Abraham, as best man. Following tho ceremony a reception was held at the Domain Kiosk. Mrs. Roberts received in a navy crepe de chine frock with a rose and beige hat, and carried a posy of carnations and maidenhair fern. Mrs. Abraham, the bridegroom's mother, was in cigar brown georgette, and a fawn and brown hat. Sho carried a posy of schizantluis and asparagus fern. FULLER—CHAMPION. At Holy Trinity Church, Avonside, Christchurch, the wedding was recently celebrated of Miss Veda May Champion, fourth daughter of Mrs. B. Champion, of Christchurch, and the late Thomas Champion, of Dunedin, to Petty-Officer John Francis Fuller, of IT.M.S. Laburnum, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Fuller, of County Cork, Ireland. Tho Rev. Otho Fitzgerald officiated. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. Henry McKeown, wore a frock of ivory satin, the semi-fitting bodice having a boat-shaped neck finished with a broad band of niching. The circular skirt fell ankle length to a slightly uneven hemline. The tulle veil forming a train was held in place by a spray of orange blossoms across the head and finished with a posy at each ear. Tho two bridesmaids, Miss Phyllis Wakelin, of Little River, and Miss Elsie Rutter, of Avonside, wore frocks respectively of silver tissue shot with pink and blue, and green georgette brocaded with gold. Tho fitting bodices had deep scalloped yokes of silk net, and the very full skirts fell in four deep scallops finished with three circular flounces of silk net. I Their unusual caps of silver and gold tissue were made in Marie Stuart fashion and finished with lace edging to tone. They carried bouquets in pale shades of pink, blue and gold. Petty-Officer Thomas ITatherley was best man and Mr. Ronald Lindsay, cousin of tho bride, groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at Dixieland, where Mrs. Champion received her guests wearing a black marocain frock, relieved with a white vest, embroidered in black, a black satin coat and black Bangkok hat. She carried a bouquet of 6carlet roses and ranunculas. HAMILTON—BUTTIMORE. The wedding was celebrated at the Waiuku Methodist Church recently of Miss Annie Buttimore, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Buttimore, of Waiuku, to Mr. Robert Chadwick Hamilton, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Hamilton, of Waiuku. The Rev. W. S. Neal conducted the ceremony and Mrs. W. McEwcn played the wedding music. Tho bride, who was given away by her father, wore an ankle-length frock of ivory georgette and silver lace, with an uneven hemline. An embroidered silk tulle veil was elapsed to tho head with a coronet of orange blossoms and fell in folds to form a train. She carried a shower bouquet of cream roses, pale pink sweetpeas and maidenhair fern. In attendance as bridesmaids wero Miss Marion Worsley, cousin of the bride, and Miss Glen Scoullar, who were dressed alike in ankle-length frocks of pale pirik floral chiffon georgette. They wore crinoline hats to tone with their frocks and carried shower bouquets _of pink roses, sweetpeas and maidenhair fern. Little Elva Hamilton, cousin of the bridegroom, was flower girl. She wore a frock of pale pink embroidered georgette with silver leaf headdress and carried a posy of pink roses and daisies. Mr. Glover Hamilton was best man and Mr. W. W. Buttimore groomsman. Following the ceremony a reception was held in Wesley Hall, Waiuku. Mrs. Buttimore received the guests wearing a frock of floral jade green crepe de chine and black hat. She carried a bouquet of golden roses and asparagus fern. Mrs. Hamilton, mother of the bridegroom, wore a frock of black crepe do fieuri with a black Bangkok hat. Her bouquet was of red roses. STEVENS—THOMPSON.

The marriage of Miss Kathleen Annie Thompson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Thompson, of Mar ton, to Mr. George De Bank Stevens, second son of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Stevens, of Auckland, formerly of Iluntcrville, was celebrated at St. Stephen's Church, Marton, recently. The Rev. 13. D. Ashcroft performed* the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of white satin with a deep cape collar and long Jight-fitting sleeves, while the skirt was finished -with an uneven hemline. Her Honiton lace veil was arranged on the head with a coronet of orango blossom, and she carried a sheaf of deep cream roses. In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Mamie Wilkie, who wore a frock of floral georgette with a cape collar, and a hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted roses and sweet'peas. Mrs. 11. J. Thompson, the bride's mother, woro an ensemble suit of black and green marocain, with a hat to tone. Sho carried a bouquet of tea roses.
