OUTRAGE IN JAPAN.
PRIME MINISTER SHOT. BULLET IN HIS BODY. CONDITION SERIOUS. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received November 15, 12.35 a.m.) TOKIO, Nov. 14. The Prime Minister, Mr. Yuko Hamaguclii, who was about to enter a train at Tokio to attend the military manoeuvres, was shot in tlio groin by a would-be assassin, and is reported to bo in a serious condition. It is understood that the bullet penetrated the lower part of his body. Mr. Hamaguchi is suffering severely, but is conscious. After some of his son's blood had been transfused into him, Mr. Hamaguchi was carried to a hospital, where he was operated upon. The injured parts of his intestines were removed arid tho doctors are hopeful of his recovery. Mr. Hamaguchi, Leader of the Minseito Party, became Prime Minister when Baron Tanaka resigned in July, 1929. His nickname among tho people is " The Lion. He has been much occupied with financial measures and with the suppression of I Communism.
