The Earl of Tlarewood recently celebrated liis 48th birthday. Dividing his interest in early manhood between the Army and the Diplomatic. Service, he was given a commission in the Grenadier Guards at the outbreak of the war and had risen to its command when ho assisted in the capture of Mauberge two days hefore the Armistice, having fought through the whole campaign in France and been wounded and gassed four times. Though known to the public eye chiefly as a sportsman he is keenly interested in art, especially pictures and old china and glass.
