VALUE OF WOMAN.
German professors have been delving into figures again, this time to find the value of Mflman. Converted into British coinage, hv the Berlin correspondent of a London paper, the value of a woman of J>o years is found by them to he £1895, while the. value of a man of the same ago is assessed at £2370. After 30 years of age the professors find that a woman's value declines rapidly. At 50 she is worth £1430; at 60. £1015; and at 75, nothing at all. Tt must he stressed, however, that these figures represent the economic value of woman to the Slate. Were the professors to attempt to calculate her intrinsic value, gallantry would compel them to state that the sum was so vast as to be incalculable.
