BELINDA'S WASHING DAY.
Because the day was nice and fine, I hung the washing on the line. Belinda's pinafore unci frocks, A Tain O'Shanter and some socks.
But sad to say somo elves passed l>y, And stole the things when they were dry. Now poor Belinda's in despair, Because she has no clothes to wear. —From Connie Stewart. Hunua (copied).
