POSSIBLE NEW SAINT.
CLAIM FOR SCOTTISH GIRL. Will Margaret Sinclair, a Scottish girl who died only a year or two ago, be canonised by the Pope as a saint ? A movement with this object in view lias been taking placo for some time past.
It has been announced that Roman Catholic bishops qnd priests of Scotland will meet iu Edinburgh to consider the evidence submitted by people in all parts of Great Britain and Ireland who assort that they benefited miraculously through her intercession. The ecclesiastical finding and report to the Pope will determine whother or not sho will be beatified and canonised.
Margaret Sinclair was a humble working girl of Edinburgh—her mother still lives tlioro—who is credited with haying performed hor ordinary duties in supernatural fashion during her life as a nun in the Franciscan ordor.
If this Scottish girl becomes a saint sho will be the first of her sex in Scotland to bo canonised for nearly 700 years. Tho last, was Queen Margaret, who was made a saint in 1250,
