NEW CLUB AT TAUPIRI. ffir TELEGRAPH. —OWN .CORRESPONDENT.] TAUPIRI, Friday. A new club, to be known as the l.iupiri Croquet Club, was formed at a meeting At Taupiri this week. Tho election of officers resulted as-follows: —Patron, Mis. A. H. Waring; president, Mrs. G. Hor--Wood; vice-presidents, Mesdames Catlev, pliy and Durbridge; secretary, Mis. J. H. Wilson; treasurer, Mrs. E. Sowman; auditor, Mr. F. C. Day; committee, president, secretary, treasurer, Mesdames ; r. Wilson, Shepherd, Hunter, A. Buss and E. C. Day; match committee, Mesdames lltinter and Shepherd. , The Bowling Club has sanctioned the I Dsn of a portion of its green, pending the ' completion of the croquet lawn. Ihe laupiri Hotkey Club has donated £l3 to tho Bow club, and with this amount and Li in hand the club will purchase equipment.
