FLOUR DUTY SCHEME.
SOUTH AFRICAN CABINET. LABOUR NOT IN FAVOUR. CAPETOWN Nov. 12. An increased duty on flour is to be considered by the South African Cabinet after the return of the Prime Minister, General Hertzog, from the Imperial Conferene >. The wheat farmers arc pressing fur a prohibitive duty. They say that when flour sold at 42s a bag bread was tho same price as it is to-day. It is understood that the Labour members of Parliament are not likely to favour the proposal, which will widen the breach with the Nationalists.
