OUTBOARD RACING.

CONTESTS AT PANMURE. DECLARATION OF HANDICAPS. The outboard division of tho New Zealand Power-Boat Association will hold its second series of races at the Panmure Basin to-morrow afternoon. Large entries have been received and some very exciting contests are anticipated. A feature of the day will be the race for the golden pennant for boats of unlimited horse power. Four boats have entered and speeds in excess of 'lO miles per hour are expected to be recorded. All competitors have been classified according to their speeds, which should result in moro close finishes. A lady driver will be among the competitors in the runabout classes, arid two new bouts will make their first appearance. Many improvements for conducting the races have been carried out by tho committee. The course for all classes is four laps, equal to three miles. Following are the entries and handicaps:— Race 1, 3m class for hydroplanes.—^To start at 2 p.m.: Zip, British Maid. Blue Bird. Hop-a-long, lm 10s; Miss Clevedon. •10s; Nymph Jr., scr. Race 2.2 m. 10s class, for hydroplanes.— To start at 2.20 p.m.: Ocean Mule, lm 30s: Gee Whizz, lm 20s; Pegasus, 10s: Silvertown Kid, Elto, 30s; Pug, Miss Wilma. scr. Racq 3, Runabouts.—To start at 2.40 p.m.: C.G.G., 3m 255; Lady Linda. 2m 20s; Chancit 11.. 2m 103. Red Streak, lm 20s; Pastime, Nymph, Lady Eve, Velox, all scr. Race 'l, 3m class.—To start at 3 p.m.: Entries, same as those for No. 1 race. Race 5, Golden Pennant Championship. - To start at 3.20 p.m.: Silvertown Kid, Elto. Pug, Miss Wilma, all scr. Race ti. Runabouts.-To start at 3.10 p.m.: Entries, same as those for No. 3 race. Race 7, 2m 10s class—To stall at 4 p.m.: Entries, sumo as those for No. 2 race. Tho handicaps for races 4, 0 and 7, will be declared to-morrow afternoon.
