INCREASE ON LAST WEEK, FIGURES FOR THE CENTRES, [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS .ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Thursday. There was an increase of 352 comparer] wifh the previous week in the number of unemployed persons registered in New Zealand foe the week ended Monday, according to a. statement by the Minister of Labour, the Hon. S. 0. Smith, to day. The week's total was 6432. "Details of the registration at. the labour bureaux and post offices are as follows:—With dependants, Auckland, 1151; without, dependants, 372. Wellington, 500 and 401. Christchurrh, 729 and 343. Dunedin, 331 and 130. Invercargill. 119 and 63. The totals for the five centres (with figures for the previous week in parentheses) are : —Auckland, 2023 tl903); Wellington, 901 (304); Christchurch, 1072 (1024); Dunedin, 461. (503); Invercargill. 172 (143).
