DESTRUCTION BY FIRE.

LARGE DWELLING HOUSE. ALL THE CONTESTS LOST. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PAPARCA, Wednesday. Tho 12-roomed dwellirg-hou.se erected some*years ago by the late Mr. C. A. Wilson, at Wairere, near Paparoa, and occupied by his eldest sen. Mr. Norman Wilson, was destroyed by fire, with tho outbuildings and al] effects', yesterday afternoon. Mr. Wilson had left the house after luncheon, accompanied by one of his bovs arid was working on the farm about a mile away when he noticed that the dwelling was on fire. They hurried back, hut by the time they had reached the house the flames were in full possession. Although neighbours came to their assistance, the flames were too fierce to allow approach to the building, or th# saving of any of the effects. Mrs. Wilson was in hospital at the time. Tho house was insured for £IOOO in th» South British Office, but the loss is considerably above this.
