HUNTLY FARMERS' UNION.
[BY TEI.EGR ATH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HUNTLY, Friday. The first monthly meeting of the newlyformed Huntly branch of the New Zealand farmers Union was held last evening, Mr. J. H. Furniss, Ruawaro, presiding. The question of promoting interest in forthcoming meetings by arranging for a series <jf lectures was discussed and it was decided to invite Dr. Annctt, of Auckland. to deliver a lecture. The desirability of forming a branch of tho Cooperative Rural Intermediate Credit Association in Huntly was emphasised by "Mr. Furniss. It was stated that a representative would be taken from each district in the vicinity of Huntly/ It was resolved that a meeting lie called with a view to the formation ot a branch of the association at Huntly.
