RETICULATION AT WAIHI. FINANCIAL STATISTICS. [BV TELEG.ttAPII.~OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TP. AItOHA, Tuesday. The Thames Valley Power Board to-day again discussed tho reticulation of the Waihi Beach area. A letter was received from Ihn Tauranga Power Board stating that if the Thames Valley Board intended to reticulate the area it would not take any further action in the matter. The chairman, Mr. J. Strange, said the board was ready to reticulate the Waihi Beach area, providing that a sufficient guarantee was forthcoming. The engineer, Mr. N. 0. McLeod, stated that there were 80 probable consumers in the Waihi Beach district and a guarantee of 30s a year from each was nil the board asked for, and if guaranteed the line would be proceeded with immediately. It was decided that board officials, tho chairman and the member for the district should meet the settlers in tho Waihi area and discuss tho position. After a discussion on tho necessity of reducing overhead charges, the following resolution was carried: —"That the question of salaries and wages be gone into fully at tho December meeting of tho board." Tho total number of consumers connected with the board's mains, said tho engineer, was 7648. The Thames Valley Board was the largest supplier in tho Dominion of electricity to dairy farmers. The revenue received for the past sixmonths for electricity was £61,719. Of this amount meter consumers paid £50,634, flat-rate consumers £5533 and bulk consumers £5551. There were 2551 electric motors on farms, of which 1985 were used fur milking.
