The Admiralty denies this rumour categorically. Luring tin; stay of the Revenge fit Coli'oJuaii, near Nice, lasting over nine, days, an average of 310 men enjoyed leave ori shore, daily. There have been 35 men who have returned late from shore (leave. Included in that number were two who have not yet returned and they have been posted as deserters.
There is no truth whatever in the allegations that men refused to return on board, that men behaved with disrespect to their captain, that trouble broke out in the ship, mul that, complaints were made about the food.
