PROPOSALS IN BRITAIN. SUGGESTION BY THE TRADE. LONDON. Oct. 7. 'Dir. leading meal traders in the United Kingdom, including Iho chief importers of Australian and New Zealand frozen meat, have issued a manifesto urging the imposition of taxes on foreign meal and tlifv suggest thai all Empire meats he admitted free. They also suggest a preferential tariff on foreign beef, mutton and veal of per pound, on lamb and pork 'if Ad, a full foreign tariff on lamb of Id, and on other meat 3d.
