TROUBLE IN THEATRE.
MANAGER ASSAULTED. YOUNG MAN FINED AT HAMILTON [RV TELEGRAPH. —OWN* CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON*. "U'ednesdny. A charge of assaulting a picture theatre manager was denied I>y a you tig man, Thomas Shaw, in the Magistrate's Court to-day. For the prosecution it was stated that accused pushed past the manager, Arthur Collins, and went into the theatre. He was asked twice to produce his ticket, but ignored the request, and when Collins caught his arm to stop him, lie struck Collins three times in the face.
Collins stated that he had tickets in his hand when he entered. He told Collins to let him so, and when Collins refused he pushed him aside.
The magistrate, .Mr. Wyvern Wilson, described Shaw as hot-headed. Defendant liarl been previously convicted lor fight ins; and had given trouble in the theatre before. A fine of £5 was imposed.
