ORUA BAY DANCE.
'A social evening and dance was held by the Public Works Department employees at the Pines, Orua *33 ay, iecently. There was a large attondanco of local residents, also f from surrounding districts. Tho hall was attractively decorated, and between tho dances musical items wero given by tho following:— Songs, by Miss L. Watson and Mr. F. George; pianoforto solo. Miss D Johnson; and a Maori song, by Miss Mary Reweti. An excellent' supper was provided by Mr. L. Morris, of The Pines. Mr. Bryan, assisted by Mr. Aspen, provided excellent dance music. Tho following ladies wero among those present: —Mrs. A. Colo, who woro black wool crepo do chine with groy trimming; Mrs. Aspen* sea green laco over crepe do chino; Mrs. McColough, • brown silk; Mrs. H. Davis, brown satin; Mrs. Winter, powder blue Bilk; Mrs. Hay ward, fawn lace over crepe do chino; Mrs. Camp bell, figured ninon; Mrs. Foote, sea green georgette; Miss Watson, embossed voile over silk; Mrs. Remeke, black crepo da chine, and red shawl; Mrs. Tumahei, figured Shantung; Miss Morris, navy blua crepo de chine and fawn trimming; Miss Aspen, flame satin; Miss Turner, rose crepo do chine; Miss D. Johansson, figured georgette; Miss Peterson, pink crepo do chino and laco; Miss Alma Aspen, blue crepo do chino; Miss P. Scopes, pink voilo; Miss N. Marshall, powder bluo silk; Miss Mary Sheehn, bluo georgetto; Miss M. Roweti, figured voile; Miss T. Andrews, pink crcpo do chino.
