YOUNG GIRL'S DEATH.
POISONING THE CAUSE. VERDICT INVOLVES FATHER. (Received September 24, 9.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 24. The inquest was concluded to-day concerning tho death of May Schubert, aged 34, a ' former resident of Gloucester, a village on the north coast. The girl's skeleton was found by detectives in a lonely part of tho bush at Redhead, near Newcastle. The coroner returned a verdict that death was due to poisoning by strychnine feloniously administered by deceased's father, whoso present whereabouts are not known.
At the opening of the inquest on May Schubert last week it was stated in evidence that she had been taken to Newcastle early in tho year to enter a materiiity home. Her father, who accompanied the girl, was not seen afterwards and had since disappeared without leaving ft trace.
