THE WRECK OF THE TAHITI.

Sir, —Many thanks for publishing the description of the wreck of the. Tahiti by Hector Macquarrio. Hats off again and again to everyone on the boat. Hats off (o Iho gentlemen on the last boat, to Iho little canary who did her bit, "for not a sparrow shall fall to the ground. Let (he letters go hang; there was ' no registered mail lost. So hats off again I say, with no discordant note. A. M. Chapman.

Sir, —I agree with "A Mother's" letter. The noble captain of the Tahiti had his work cut out in trying to keep his ship afloat and save the passengers. Had he bothered with the mail all probably would havo been lost. 0. C. Levy.
