MR. FENTON POINTS TO CANADA
MELBOURNE. Sept. 12.
The acting-Prime Minister, Mr. J. E. Fenton, speaking at a dinner, said he thought there were too many Parliaments in Australia. A total of 661 members in a population of 6,500,000 was inordinate. Australia might with advantage follow the example of Canada in its modest system of government.
