" At the Doncaster September sales Lord Glanely, who is vory hard to atop when ho fancies anything in tho way of horseflesh, went to 12,500 guineas to securo an unnamed bay colt by Gainsborough out of Tetrabbazia, sent up from Sir Alec Black's Coinpton Stud. In duo courso tho youngster wns christened Singaporo, and last year—an exceptionally lean ono tor T. Hogg's stablo—ho was not saddled for » race.

" From tho Oaks onwards T. Hogg turned out a large number of winners for Lord Glanely. and among them was Singapore, who, going out favourite, won tho .£IOOO Sandringhain Foal Plate at Sandown Park on June 27. Singapore did not have a great lot to beat, but ho won so well that, if ho continues to progress, he is to bo allowed to take his chanco for tho St. Loger.

" By Gainsborough, Singapore is out of Tetrabbazia, a maro by The Tetrarch out of Abbazia. a half-sister to our old-time champion, Greatorex, by Isinglass out of Mrs. Butterwick, by St. Simon, a truly noble lino of blood. Singapore is a half-brother to Sledmerc, who is by Lemonora.
