WHANGAREI, Friday,
A confereuco at which all North Auckland county councils will bo represented will bo held at Kaikohe on October 24 to discuss tho question of native rates. Sir Apirana Ngata, chairman of the Consolidation Hoard, has agreed that tha consolidation officers shall atteud tho conference.
To-day tho chairman, Mr. J. A. S. McKay, and tho clerk were appointed to represent tho Wliapgarei County.
