REV. J. ADLER ARRIVES.
Prominent members of the Auckland Jewish community extended a warm welcome yesterday to the Rev. J. Adler. w'ho lias been appointed assistant to Rabbi b. A. Goldstein a; the Auckland Synagocne. Mr. Adler arrived by train from Wellington. Mr. X. Alfred Nathan and Rabbi Goldstein conveyed greetings to Mr. Adler on behalf of the Hebrew congregationAn official welcome will be extended to Mr. and Mrs. Adler at the Click Clack Cabaret next Thursday evening. Before he was appointed to the portion in Auckland. Mr. Adler was for five vears minister at the Xorth, London Synagogue. lie was bom at Gateshead-oit-Tyne, Durham, 50' years ago, and cnaiifled as a minister at the Manchester Theological College at the age of IS- He was out* of the most brilliant students at college.
