GIRL GUIDES.

Short, reports of work were given by some of the secretaries at the combined committee quarterly meeting of the Girl Guides Association, and several questions arising out of them were discussed and settled. It was unanimously decided to hold the November meeting at Otimai, and members wero requested to advise the hon. secretary early in that month of the numbers going. Miss Knight asked for helpers and flowers for the forthcoming street, collection to be held by the Navy and Victoria Leagues in September. Miss Knight, district commissioner, presided and Mrs. Coats, district commissioner, was also among those present. Seven new members were enrolled.
