ODDFELLOWS' BALL.
Many effective fancy dresses were to ho seen at the Oddfellows' annual ball, held aL. Taneatua this week. The R&bekah colours were carried out in the decorative scheme, and the "Melody Boys" provided the music. The prize-winners were as follows: —Best-dressed couple. Miss A. and Mr. 11. Mitchell, Turkish pair; most original lady, Miss L. Peebles, Royal Air Force; Miss 11. Farquhar, bold pirate; best-dressed lady, Mrs. McDonald, queen of the harem; bestdressed gentleman, Mr. 11. E. Varley, Old English; best poster, Mrs. Old, flower seeds; best paper, Miss J. Court (Man lera), wistaria.
