FUNCTION AT AVONDALE. About. 100 vicars and vestrymen of the Auckland diocese were present at a social evening held in St. Judo's parish hall, Avondalo, on Thursday evening. The idea (.f holding these meetings of churchmen originated in St. Mark's parish, Homuei.', where a < up was presented for shooting, thin being won last year by St. Judo's from the holders, St. Mark's. t Teams from the following churches competed on Thursday evening Holy Trinity, St. Maik's, St. Aldan's, Hi. Luke's, St. Alban's. St. Andrew's, St. Mary's, St. Judo's, St. George's, St. Thomas', Christ ('(lurch, All Saints', jfoly Sepulchre, Epiphany, Auckland City Mission arid the Diocesan Office. Tho winner was St. Andrew's, with a score of 49. The cup was presented by Archdeacon Mac.M u nay.
