HOCKEY.
LADIES' ASSOCIATION. NO TEAM FOR INVERCARGILL. Auckland will not be represented at tho New Zealand Ladies' Hockey Association's tournament at Invercargill, according to an announcement made at the meeting of the executive committee of tho Auckland Ladies' Hockey Association. Previously, the Collegiate section had been given permission to send a representative team, but a letter was received cancelling tho entry.
Permission was given to teams to arrange the following special games:— Y.W.C.A. v. Tauranga, Whangarei and Franklin; Wesley v. Waiuku juniors and Whiri W'hiii; Papatoetoe v. Huuraki Plains. The Kiwi Club was also given permission to play a game against a Rotorua team.
It was decided to investigate tlie possibility of arranging matches between Auckland representative teams and Waikato and Whangarei sides.
